10. Japan's Kawasaki Ninja Helicopter

Producer: Kawasaki Aerospace Corporation The Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force is the main user. The program cost was $923.78 million* (FY2013) or $24.3 million* (unit cost). The Japanese Ground Self Defense Force uses the Kawasaki OH-1, also known as the "Ninja," as a scout helicopter manufactured by the Kawasaki Aerospace Company. Production of it lasted from 1996 to 2013. So far, 38 have been constructed. Twenty years after the Ninja was first formally introduced to the Japanese military, the unit is still in use.
