15. USA's Enhanced Los Angeles Class Submarine

Manufacturers: Raytheon, General Dynamics, and Newport News Shipbuilding principal users: the US Navy The program's cost was $98.58 billion in FY2019, while the unit cost was $1.59 billion. The Seawolf class of submarines is taking on the role of the outdated Los Angeles class. There are sixty-two of these submarines that have been completed to date, and each unit costs $1.59 billion. 29 are retired, while 33 are still working. General Dynamics and Newport News are making some changes to the 33 operational submarines.

In addition to improving the ADCAP Torpedo and Towed Array Target Motion operability, the MK2 offers VLS for the Tomahawk Block III.
